German Breastplate 15th Cent. 1,2mm Polished

As the 15th Century dawned, noblemen and knights alike felt a call to arm themselves for war. This chest plate exuded strength in battle but also conveyed an air of sophistication at court or social events when worn by knights, noblemen, or soldiers. Combining this piece with protective arms and legs created quite an impressive ensemble. This German-style design was especially popular throughout Europe from 1450 to the 1500s.
